Raymond Boland is a Hawaiian Research Biologist at NOAA, as well as an educator and diving specialist. Ray has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Hawaii and a M.S. in Marine Science from Hawaii Pacific University. He is a SCUBA instructor, Rebreather Instructor and First Aid/CPR/AED and Oxygen response instructor. He enjoys diving in his spare time and has dived in the tropical Pacific, Washington State, the Gulf of Mexico, Florida, Puerto Rico and Rhode Island. He is also an avid photographer both above and below the water. The coldest water he has ever dived in was in Lake Huron at 47 degrees Fahrenheit… twice was enough.
